Frequently asked questions
Help
What can I upload?+
You may upload lawful files that comply with our Terms of Service. Most common formats work within your plan’s per-file and total storage limits. Very large single files may require a higher tier—check your dashboard before uploading.
How do storage limits work?+
Your plan includes a maximum total storage amount and may include a cap on individual file size. Usage is shown in the dashboard so you always know what remains before you upload.
How does sharing work?+
You generate a download link for a specific file or folder. You can set how long the link stays valid so old links do not stay open indefinitely.
Is my data encrypted?+
Traffic between your browser and Filedepot uses HTTPS. Files are stored on modern object storage infrastructure designed for durability and access control.
Can I cancel or change my plan?+
Yes. Subscription changes run through the payment provider’s customer portal. Your files remain available according to the limits of your current plan until you adjust storage or close your account as described in our terms.
What happens if I delete a file or close my account?+
Deleted content is removed from active systems on a schedule that depends on backups and operational needs. Residual copies may persist for a limited time in backups; see the Privacy Policy for details.
Someone shared a harmful or infringing file. What should I do?+
Use our Report abuse page and, for copyright concerns, follow the DMCA process. We take misuse seriously and investigate reports that include enough detail to find the material in question.
Where is data stored?+
Files are kept in cloud object storage with the app running on reliable infrastructure so uploads and downloads stay fast. Exact regions may evolve as we operate the service.
